The AseptiQuik genderless connectors provide fast, easy, secure connections and quick assembly. The interior of the flow path is never exposed to the exterior environment providing sterile connections, even in non-autoclaveable environments. To use, simply unsnap and flip down the protective tab cover, align connectors with the pull tabs hanging down, slide the two connectors together and squeeze until you hear an audible “click” from each side, snap the pull tabs together, then pull the tabs to simultaneously get-rid-of both membranes from the connector halves.The fitting features a unique three-port design for a true steam-through steam-in-place (SIP) process, eliminating dead legs and the need for a laminar flow hood. Use the Steam-Thru II SIP connection to sterilize the fitting while connected to stainless steel equipment. The Steam-Thru II connection offers the flexibility of “steam on” and “steam off” functionality, allowing a second SIP cycle following media transfer. The “steam off” function helps minimize cross-Spreading-impurities risks associated with reusable components. The Steam-Thru II thumb latch helps secure valve position as well as offer visual indication of process stage. Select from 3/4" and 1-1/2" lab-cleaned connections for attachment to the processing equipment. Connectors withstand temperatures up to 135°C (275°F) for 60 minutes during SIP. All AseptiQuik connectors are made from animal-derived component-free materials, making them ideal for a wide range of biopharmaceutical, bioprocessing, cell therapy, gene therapy, and other critical-use applications. Fittings are manufactured, double bagged, and sealed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom to ensure that the integrity is not compromised. An ISO Class 7 cleanroom utilizes HEPA filtration systems to maintain air cleanliness levels of less than 10,000 particles of 0.5 μm or larger per cubic foot.
